Established in 1988, The Bowering Group was the first certified event management firm in Manitoba.

The Bowering Group has been a member of Meeting Professionals International since 1985, making us the longest-serving member in Manitoba.

President Laurie Bowering is the only individual in Manitoba to have earned all three of the most distinguished certifications in our industry.

• CMM – The Global Certification in meeting management. Just under 600 people in the world have earned this prestigious designation
• CMP – Certified Meeting Professional as endorsed by the Convention Industry Council
• CSEC – Certified Special Events Coordinator – the Professional Certification of the Tourism Education Councils in Canada

Since 2004, Laurie Bowering has been teaching Event Management at the University of Winnipeg.
